Exciting, Growing Company with Plenty of Upside

Pros

The company puts a lot of focus on people/culture (relaxed dress code, community events, beer after work on Fridays, etc), has a strong commitment to service our customers, and is growing very quickly which is creating a lot of opportunities for employees.

Cons

Aeroflow has had some growing pains, like any other company growing this fast. Leadership seems to be aware of those pains and determined to invest and resolve those issues (investing in improving the office space, training for new managers, better benefits, etc)

Pros

As you can see alot of the positive reviews on here are very vague. This is because thier HR sends out emails for you to stop working and leave postivie comments so their reviews for thier company doesn't look bad. This way they can get more cannidates. Don't fall for it. The pics that they have posted - only a handful of those people still work there.

Cons

They are a growing company with ALOT of growing pains. You can be thrown into a position that if it fails due to procedures they have in place...you will be blamed and fired. There is alot of finger pointing in this company. This causes alot of stress. They pray on younger employees who strive to make something of themselves but use them and then throw them out to dry. There is always someone younger and dumber to do the job at half the price. The company is growing, but don't expect to grow with it.

I am sorry you had this experience at Aeroflow. As a company we strive to have transparent communication with our employees for this very reason. We want to know your thoughts and concerns so we can better Aeroflow and our community and keep you informed. And you are right, there have been a lot of growing pains throughout the past couple of years, which is exciting and can be stressful for employees. I want to thank you for the work you have done with Aeroflow and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Worst job I've ever had

Pros

There aren't any honestly. I had some coworkers who were great but even that wasn't enough when the culture of the company is so toxic and everyone is being micromanaged and criticized constantly even when they are doing good work and meeting all their deadlines.

Cons

Extremely uncompetitive wages. For most of the time I worked there I was paid $15,000 less than what the average person with my experience and position is paid in Asheville and I had to beg and complain for about 8 months before i was given a raise that still put me under what someone with my experience and position gets in Asheville. The building the main office is in on sweeten creek is an old factory that was converted to an office space that has no windows and is very dark and depressing and has a weird smell. The company has a huge problem with micromanaging but still somehow bosses have no idea what their employees are doing all day, and as a result they micromanage to make themselves feel like they know what's going on. They always have something negative to say about you even when you're doing your best and they can't actually point to anything you've done wrong or any deadlines you've missed. I strongly advise women to think long and hard before working here. The company culture is very male dominated (it feels like you're working in a frat house, there are stressballs in the shape of breasts sitting out on people's desks) and depending on who your boss is women can be treated very poorly. In my department I was formally disciplined for the smallest things meanwhile I had a male coworker who frequently screamed at women and made them cry who didn't face any consequences for it until he ended up physically threatening other employees. I really can't stress enough how much I dreaded going into work every day and leaving this company was one of the best decisions I've ever made, I only wish I had left sooner.

Thank you so much for this review. We are extremely disappointed to hear that this was your experience and wish you had expressed these concerns to human resources so that we might have had the opportunity to work towards a solution together. As a company, we have invested and will continue to invest all available resources towards paying all employees fairly, creating a positive and supporting culture, and providing a comfortable working environment. If you would be open to sharing more specific information on your career here, we would welcome an opportunity to speak with you further.
