      Disappointing, but good for someone that didn't pay much for a college education

      Pros

      They are a great entry level company for individuals that don't want to utilize their education. There are account managers that did not go to college that manage the recruiters, so your education will not give you an advantage in moving up.

      Cons

      Aerotek is a company that I have a hard time comprehending. They recruit individuals that are not quite qualified because of their education, track record, or experience, but many of the upper management is not even close to qualified. I am curious as to how they hire and how they maintain their workers.

      Pros

      The environment is very young and energetic, it's a great spot to get started if you're looking to get into sales.

      Cons

      The hours are awful and it's really all a numbers game. The salary for recruiters varies from office-to-office, but it's pretty low in comparison to other recruiting agencies, especially when you are working standard 50-55 hour weeks, often more. You're continually enticed by the opportunity to move up in the company and make a lot of money. And while that opportunity may exist, not everyone is money-hungry enough to sacrifice a life outside of staffing. I wouldn't recommend this as a long-term thing if you're not trying to get into sales.

      Great pay, not so great future placement

      Pros

      The pay where I was placed was really good. They are also very thorough when hiring, so you feel good when you've passed all the drug, background, etc tests and interviews!

      Cons

      No one can do everything amazingly well, but my Manager who had placed me once kind of gave me the blowoff for future jobs when my contract ended. He praised my work constantly while I was employed, but when it was over it was like he didn't know me whatsoever. He seemed much more intent on keeping the client than the employees he placed.
