Pros

One and maybe the only pro is that they are hands off and will not micro-manage you. This may be a problem for some but in my particular field it is a plus.

Cons

Where to begin... - in my experience my recruiters have not advocated fmeat heir contractors appropriately and they have pretty much made it clear that their interest is in the client and their bottom line.. I do not hear feedback on my progress, work or know status of my contract. If possible look for a permanent position on your own while at Aerotek. -The benefits are pretty crappy but that's typical for a temp company i suppose. If you want good benefits this is another reason you need a perm position. I basically have to pay for every doctors visit out of pocket except for $20 that the insurance picks up. Thank god my husband has a good plan. - paid days off every 400 hours workee and unpaid holidays. Another reason not to use a temp agency unless desperate. -Cannot apply for a permanent position even while working as a contractor or months after the contract ends or the employer pays a finders fee. So even if your employer is interested in keeping you, you cannot work right away. - the recruiters use slime ball tactics like calling your previous managers and references to harass them for business. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion.

Pros

-Fun and energetic work environment that offers a chance to work with young professionals (this is without a doubt the biggest Pro of the job) -If business is doing well the boss will usually pay for drinks at the local watering hole. -If you are lucky you will get partnered up with a good triangle that works with stable accounts which means you will earn commission regardless of your skill as a recruiter. -Good experience in recruiting and you will become an expert on reading and building resume's -Free lunch if you take a contractor out you can expense it.

Cons

-Extreme nepotism (advice kiss your DBO's butt early and often) -Long hours (7:30am - 6:30pm) for minimum pay. 33K-35K base depending on where you live but don't plan on clearing much more than that your first year... unless you are lucky (see "Pros" above) -If business is down plan on staying to at least 7:00pm. I was told the work day ends at 5:30pm but quickly realized that in the "pit" where the recruiters work it ends up being a waiting game. Everyone is waiting and looking around to see who the sucker is that leaves first. -Little value for your customers compared to the price Aerotek's service cost. Aerotek is consistently priced higher than all of the competitors and the counter argument is that they offer a higher quality candidate. -Dishonest Account Managers that tell you they are on a business meeting when they are really at home napping, shopping, running errands, etc.

Pros

With this the only avenue to get into some jobs, than there service is needed. The company I was placed in treats me great with no complaints.

Cons

The company does not take care of their valuabe resource at all, their employees. as long as they are getting their weekly income from assignment company they dont care about taking care of the employees needs. VERY poorly ran company.
