      Pros

      Opportunities galore. You can move up if you sell yourself and do good work. Flextime is allowed. Company tolerates some work from home.

      Cons

      No management. Principals that sell work, do not manage it. If you're lucky, your team will have an exceptional engineer that leads the design and coordination. They act as the proxy principal. If you're unlucky, your team will will not have this exceptional engineer. Then the RFIs, CBs, and screams start and they go on for years. Also, they've got this new QC process which is insane!

      Projects are interesting. Clients do interesting work and it is fun to be associated with them.

      Cons

      Just got laid off. Completely blindsided. I didn't see it coming. One day I was brought into a huddle room and told I was being eliminated.
