Pros

- great office with a good view - benefits are generous (unlimited vacation, good healthcare, above average food) - good culture in certain team - decent work life balance

Cons

- don't patronize your employees, we're not doing 'God's work' - product not very exciting, and personally don't think it lives up to company value & mission - onboarding/training program is pretty bad and unstructured - more learning-by-doing

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We hope that all of our employees share the passion around what we're building. If there's something we can be doing to better communicate this mission, we'd love to talk -- please reach out to your HRBP to set up some time.

Pros

The dream that the company projects is pretty, but the reality is something else.

Cons

Immature leadership that is chauvinistic and promotes being an insensitive jerk.

Pros

- Amazing benefits (100% mental health coverage in & out of network, monthly stipend, work abroad program, etc) - Everyone is the real deal - smart, (truly) nice, ambitious - Company is performing well despite the occasional dip in stock price - Opportunity to move teams & change roles is actually encourages - Remote first (most roles are eligible) with the option to go into the office - Salaries are fairly competitive - No meeting Wednesday afternoons & 26 paid "away days" (aka paid holidays)

Cons

- Continuous feedback program doesn't provide enough detail into an individuals performance - Some managers don't foster a team-building mentality & can be "cliquey" - Working remote has its own pro's & cons, but pre-pandemic Affirm felt more like a family than a workplace. Now it feels more isolating - Everyone complains about the amount of meetings & emails we get (meeting overload!) - Doesn't use Slack, they use Mattermost (it's even an inside joke) - Most people wait until they vest to leave (golden handcuffs) - Be ready to work long hours even though it's discouraged - Once you leave (by their own choice or yours), you no longer matter - Competing priorities (in 2020 Affirm had 16 key priorities from exec - yes, 16!)
