Pros

- Remote - Competitive pay - Relatively good benefits, but no HSA - Macbook Pros - Monthly wellness & tech fund - Free therapy (you will need it)

Cons

- Nonexistent WLB: they will work you like a dog - No growth opportunities: managers will string you along for years - Leadership constantly changing priorities, frequent reorgs - Amazon-like "high performance" PIP culture - people just disappear - Very stingy on perks/swag unlike most tech companies - No 401K match - Siloed teams, often doing redundant work - Really toxic culture - beware!!!! - Everyone is burnt out, not a strong company culture generally

Toxic, political nightmare

Pros

The reason I did not give Affirm a 1 to work at is because salary and benefits are good here.

Cons

Although all companies have some level of politics, Affirm was a nightmare to work for. There was constant sneaky sabotage, outright backstabbing, and bullying. There are not equal opportunities for all unless you are part of the "in" crowd. VPs are horrible, creating a toxic culture where people are constantly scared of getting laid off. There is virtually no upward career growth, good management, or opportunity here. If you value those things (and a good mental health) look elsewhere!

Pros

Pay and benefits, that's it.

Cons

Everything else. Leadership likes to paint this picture that they care, but it's all a facade. They don't, and they show it by laying off way too many people in the name of "profitability," and then attempting to overwork every single other person. Nothing is managed well, and projects are all over the place. Communication between teams is basically nonexistent, which makes it nearly impossible to ever complete projects. Glad to be out of there!
