Easily the greatest DoD contractor I have ever worked for!
Pros
I work as a DoD contractor in a DoD-provided space. Typically in these situations your employer is little more than the name on your check. Not the case with Agile Defense! When they won our contract, their senior leadership flew down and spent several days getting to know us, asking how they could help us and making sure we were all going to be happy. On a previous contract, I never met a single person from the corporate office, whereas with Agile Defense, Jay Lee (the CEO!) sat down with us at dinner, and by the end of the night it felt like I had known him and the rest of Agile's leadership for years. Even after the contract change, they've continued to dote on us with impressive benefits, corporate-sponsored events, and an amazing, interactive community that legitimately feels like my family. During the contract change all employees were given welcome packets including Agile-branded polo shirts. Myself and my coworkers coordinate to all wear our shirts and match on particular days, and I feel a sense of pride knowing we're all part of that family. Absolutely bonkers compared to a normal "badge flip" scenario where nothing changes but the name on the paychecks.
Cons
The insurance is good, but it's with a provider that doesn't have a huge network in my area. Supporting a DoD contract, if something happens to the contract there are no more jobs, but that's just the nature of contractor work.
