      Our products really do make the world a better place. It feels good to know that what we do makes a difference

      Every company has politics, but the political situation here has gotten demonstrably worse in the past 5-6 years. Leaders are too conservative, and while they pay lip service to encouraging innovative thinking, any out-of-the-box proposal gets met with a clear no. The level of favoritism is also disheartening -- it wasn't always this bad. Our CEO keeps saying, "The best is yet to come." Nope, the best passed us by years ago.

      Nothing I can think of.

      Healthcare plan is atrocious. Company is so cheap that provide a paltry $60 per day towards meals while traveling. Company contributes zero $$$ towards their employees HSA accounts to assist with medical bills. As an FSE you feel like a number, a warm body that gets tossed around by the schedulers who themselves have no clue what they are doing. Management only cares about metrics and treats the engineers like pawns. Horrible management structure and way too many hands in the pot. FSE's are expendable and Agilent could care less. They'll go out and hire someone straight out of college with zero experience. Managers only care about themselves and are focused on building their own careers. It's really like working for a virtual company where you never really get to know anyone, feel undervalued, nothing is explained and everything is outsourced to India.
