Pros

Wages well above industry average, great benefits, rotation provides good work life balance, decent food at camp, safety taken very seriously

Cons

Travel to minesite is long, 3 hrs by plane and 2hrs by bus. Bus ride times are doubled if caribou are near. Job is very monotonous, not much time or opportunity to do trainings or learn new things, standing for most of day bad for back. Promotions and permanent roles are highly competitive, possible preference for francophones.

The pay is ok. And the time off is even better.

Cons

They refuse to honor the work agreement. It is an English speaking site during working hours. However this is not the case. 5 years and all I hear is French.
