Thanks for reaching out and providing feedback. We truly value the talented men and women we hire – and do our best to retain them as long as we can. With that said, it is so nice to hear you recognize Ahlstrom-Munksjö as a “good place for long-term employment” with promotional opportunities too. It is not uncommon to meet people who have worked with us 10, 15, 20…30+ years! We are sorry our communications were not up to standards for you and this is something we are continually trying to improve. We are aware that, when it comes to our employees in the plants, there is still much more we can be doing and this is certainly on the agenda already. Already over the past 12 months we have made significant changes to our internal communications tools and processes and we have adapted swiftly to the challenges in this area regarding COVID-19 – but as you highlight, we must continue to work to better this further.

Hello and thank you for your honest feedback. Of course, we hate to read negative reviews but they are crucial for us as we strive to improve as a company, each and every day. Work-life balance is critical not only from a personal perspective (affecting employee mental and physical health) but also from a business perspective too (affecting productivity, output quality and profits). For all these reasons and more, we never want to push our employees to feel overworked, overstressed or unhappy. At a group level, HR is working towards improving the recruitment process to ensure that we are always (like you advise) hiring and retaining the right people for the job. Getting this part wrong can negatively impact the workload and stress of teams. As we work on our recruitment processes, please do take your issues up with your line manager. We do not want any of our employees to feel they have no free or family time.
