We appreciate you taking the time to send us feedback. It is always nice to hear the positive things our employees, past and present, think about life at Ahlstrom-Munksjö. You touched upon the Trust we have in our people and that is actually one of our six Culture Cornerstones. We hire the best talent and trust them to help us achieve success. We will certainly take your criticism on board too – unhappy employees and stress are things we take very seriously. It affects everything from the individual’s mental health to the individual’s (and even the team’s) performance. We are already looking at ways of reducing stress globally and we are investing heavily in our Leadership Development training to ensure our global leaders are able to support their teams as best they can. As of 2020, 82% of employees felt supported by their line manager – but we believe we can get this even higher.

It is so nice to read your positive feedback. We strive to hire the best people and, based on your comments, it sounds like we’ve done a pretty good job of that in your mill! We welcome your honest thoughts on the connection and communication between leadership and those in the plant too. This is something we are constantly aiming to improve. We have recently added to and improved our Leadership Development programs and have also made big changes to our internal communications in the last 12 months (with more changes to come). There is always room for improvement but we will continue to push in this area. Our most recent employee survey showed an impressive 82% of employees (globally) feel supported by their line manager.
