Good Job with Lots of Responsibility

A&p mechanic

Pros

Make your own schedule. Only work average 30 hours a week but paid for 40 no matter what. One week off per month.

Cons

On call 24/7 except for off week. Lots of responsibility, what would be four positions at any other A&P mechanic company you are all of them, i.e. Mechanic, records keeper, parts admin, base manager.

Pros

No pressure to fly. We had an excellent mechanic. Great coworkers.

Cons

Could not care less about employees true well being. Lot's of incompetent area managers that are overwhelmed with their job. If you have good superiors it's great. If not well the BS keeps flowing.
