Pros

Job security at the least

Cons

The company has insane rules for emergency weather closings. They require you to take unpaid time off to use towards weather days - which anytime I’ve told patients, friends, and family they are completely in shock that Airrosti is requiring us to either come in the office for Inclement Weather Days (I.e. the 2025 snow storm currently that shut all of Houston down, Hurricane Beryl, etc.) or to take out unpaid time off, yet we are only allocated 40 hours unpaid time off every year which is difficult when you plan to use that unpaid and/or paid time off in the future. While they say “use your best judgement” in coming in, they seem to care more about money grabbing vs the safety of their employees. Good grief. Why we as a company have yet to budget for having 1-3 weather days per non-remote salary employee is insane to me when consistently every year we have had some catastrophic weather issues, especially in Houston. We should NOT be required to use floating holidays, unpaid time off, paid time off, etc. & prioritize taking care of your employees just like when they did during the week long free of 2021.

Thank you for this feedback. We understand how frustrating inclement weather situations can be and appreciate you sharing your thoughts around how we can navigate these situations differently in the future. Just to be sure, we want you to know there is no requirement to take a weather day unpaid as you stated in the review. Each region should have clearly communicated to our treatment teams that team members could choose to use paid time off to supplement any lost income. If that was not the case in your region, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your VPRD. Additionally, since the weather only impacted clinic operations for no more than 10 working hours (and in most cases 4-8), our operations teams encouraged ACPs to consider adjusting schedules later in the week or at alternate hours should they want to make up for lost clinic time and not record any UPTO or PTO. We understand each ACP’s desires and needs are different and sought to provide as much flexibility as possible while not mandating a blanket shutdown across any region (since some providers chose to practice in spite of the bad weather). We understand these decisions might seem contradictory to how the 2021 freeze was handled, so wanted to provide additional context for the decisions made during that time. The reason additional accommodations were considered (like paid weather days) were due to the sheer duration of the freeze AND the operational setbacks which occurred (lost power, frozen pipes, etc.). When our clinics themselves are unsuitable for providing safe and effective patient care, we will absolutely consider more extreme measures to compensate our ACPs for missed treatment time. As you can imagine, the Airrosti leadership team does not make these decisions lightly and works tirelessly to ensure we are allowing our employees to do what feels safe for them, while also allowing treatment teams to continue practicing if they so choose. Nonetheless, we always appreciate feedback on how we can improve the execution of these policies for our team members and will ensure your comments are considered when reviewing the policies in the future.

Pros

Best part of the job is the People, by far! Most Patients and the speed of recovery from injuries is Amazing. Helping People at their worst in most cases.

Cons

*Benefits fell a few years back, not the same. *HSA changed and if you switched away from it, can never get it back. BOO! *Comp plan for CRS's sucks unless youre schedule is always full. *Pay raises, 4% annually for an ever increasing workload. *Hours are Looooooong! *PTO accrual amount only increases at year 5, etc...! Not fitting for the amount of work.

Thank you for this insight! We love hearing that the advantages you value most are directly aligned with Airrosti’s mission. While our benefit offerings can change over time, it is because we are continuously seeking ways to add value to our team members’ total rewards package. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to HR for clarity on any benefits.
