Pros

I like the team atmosphere in the office, everyone pitches in to make the experience of the patient the best it can be. They cover ACLS and BLS training and recertification, which is nice.

Cons

Sometimes booked too solid without a chance for a true lunch break. Could lead to burnout if every day was like that. Office is dated but they seem to be working on that. In the past it could be difficult to request an evaluation for a raise.

I have been on board with Akumin for 6 months. I have seen a company that cares about their employees and wants to make sure they have all the tools and info needed to be successful. I have the support from management, HR, IT and fellow employees when an issue arises. If you are considering Akumin as a career, pull the trigger and make the move. You will have no regrets.
