It is always nice to read reviews that have a positive outlook and a recommendation for our employees. We both realize that as an employer we have room for improvement; but that it is still a great place to work. So...Thank you!! There isn't a plan to cut wages across the company. There have been a lot a changes in our industry landscape over the last 12 months and federal and state labor regulations. (Greater scrutiny over the independent contractor vs employee classification, changes in client expectations and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act requirements) We are building compensation plans that will withstand the increased scrutiny and provide our employees with great pay, PTO (for qualifying assignments), and benefits. Yes, this means moving forward our compensation plans will not be solely based on wages. I believe when looking across our industry the overall compensation packages are very competitive. It is our responsibility to lead our industry by finding creative ways to meet the increased regulations and scrutiny to allow us to provide quality employment opportunities now and in the future. We want to be your employer of choice within this competitive industry. Management...I believe we have the best management team in the industry; but, I agree...there is room for improvement. We provide a wide variety of services (Cat / Environmental Response, Govt. Recovery Services, Call Center and Inside Claims) and each requires a different level of management skill. We are always looking for ways to improve the skills of our management and leadership personnel. In the coming months, we will be expanding our management training and accountability programs. My hope is that this will improve the skills of our current management team and provide improved preparation for those interested in future management opportunities. Thank you again for taking your time to provide feedback. Allen Carpenter President / COO

I'm disappointed that we didn't meet your expectations as an employer. Based on your review, we didn't do a good enough job in explaining the job requirements. We provide temporary claims services to our clients. In most cases, these services are provided in locations established by the client. This means...yes, you are away from family, incur additional expenses and the assignment duration varies based on client needs. We continuously strive to provide increased localized employment opportunities for our employee base; however, the majority of our work is based upon claims driven by weather (which we cannot control) and client designated needs. I agree that we can improve on employee feedback. We are currently evaluating several tools to provide a more robust employee engagement / feedback platform. As the industry moves more towards a W-2 workforce, it will be increasingly important to provide quality performance reviews. Due to the transient nature of this industry where adjusters move from company to company (sometimes with each new event), it has been difficult to provide open competition for management positions. When promotional opportunities open up, it is typically those who have worked for the company for an extended period that apply. This leads to a perception of favoritism...when in reality it is really driven by familiarity. I recognize this process can be exclusionary and we are currently developing a more inclusive review process for promotion opportunities. This doesn't mean that long-term committed employees will be excluded to prevent a misplaced perception of politics or favoritism. It does mean the we will give greater consideration for skills and experiences obtained outside of our company. My goal is to build and maintain the best management team in the industry. I realize that in order to reach that goal we have to not only grow our talent; but, we must be open to acquiring talent, as well. I hope you will give us consideration again in the future. If not, I appreciate the services you provided our company and I wish you the best of luck moving forward. Allen Carpenter President / COO

Thank you for taking time to provide a review of our company. I'm pleased to hear that the Trainers on your site were helpful. That is the premise behind the "Trainer Program"...We ask that they provide that additional layer of assistance to help our employees succeed. There isn't a plan to cut wages across the company.
