Cons

Very young and inexperienced engineers. Almost no senior engineering management. Poor engineering .

Really am loving Alarm.com, people are so much happier here than other places I've worked. Nice to be at a company where people enjoy coming to work and have fun with each other. Great place! People seem to care about you as a person here.

Cons

Things move fast here and you need to be able to adapt - not really a negative for me.

Your coworkers are amazing. You can easily make friends and hangout with your peers outside of work.

Cons

Senior level management needs work, they have no idea what they are doing and often it comes off like they don't care. Alarm.com doesn't offer a competitive salary, or opportunities to grow within the company. I was told many times, "this is the way we have always done it," and never really felt like people were listening to what I had to say or offer. There were times when we got extremely busy, and my manager would tell me, "just give a B level of effort on some of those projects and get them done. They don't need to be your best work." I have never, and would never give anything less than my best effort, and to suggest to me to do something like this is a huge insult and just not right. Absolutely no recognition for a job well done. only 5 days paternity leave....in 2018. Insurance benefits are expensive.
