Pros

-Alarm is a great place to start your career, and build experience. I made several lifetime friends working there. -Medical being 100% covered for the employee is great -Flat org means not a lot of middle management to get in the way, decisions can be made quickly in relation to other companies of this size

Cons

-Mid/senior career salaries are well below average -Former microstrategy in all leadership. If you get a new person on your team that is from microstrategy, they will most likely get promoted ahead of you. -Flat org also means not a whole lot of room to grow in your career -Forcing people to come back to the office 3 days a week even though productivity didnt suffer.

Pros

The office is pretty cool but that’s about it. The honey moon phase will wear off quick. Health insurance is okay. Nothing special to brag about.

Cons

Where do I start…no work-life balance at all. Expect to work 12-15 hour days including weekends. This company is extremely old fashioned and not willing to go automated. Don’t even waste your time trying to pitch any innovative ideas as they will get shut down immediately. Everything goes through one person and your work is based off his schedule. This is not a sustainable place to work and the turn over rate is so high in the Accounting department. Lastly, the all know each other outside of work. Chances you move up are non- existent. They have no problem working you death but won’t even think twice to promote you. You are just a number in their eyes.

Pros

Co-workers are great, bright and make for a productive environment Benefits are generally good

Cons

The work can be very stale, not intellectually challenging - and there is a lot of it Turnover is high, work gets shuffled around a lot and you can expect a lot to get thrown at you very quickly without proper prioritization (read: it all needs to be done now) Don't expect to be rewarded if you go above and beyond to meet deadlines (eg, working nights/weekends) - better off letting timelines slip and preserving your sanity
