      Pros

      Great work environment, wonderful colleagues, management very open to feedback, good work/life balance, competitive benefits

      Cons

      - The company markets to appeal to young, liberal applicants, but our client base is conservative and middle-aged. - The executive team also tends to lean conservative and is lacking some emotional intelligence. - Pay is low compared to competition and HR tends to block internal moves.

      - Competitive salary with other companies in McLean, VA - Meaningful software engineer projects - Very relaxed culture - Excellent benefits (401k, health, dental, AND pets!) - Big office, but start up vibes

      - Can take a while to get back to you - Interview was INTENSE (4 rounds, not including lunch)

      Pros

      Alarm.com is innovative and inventive. The company culture is very employee happiness driven and their benefits programs are competitive and comprehensive especially for young professionals that are just starting their careers. The atmosphere is fun and makes you want to get up and go to work!

      Cons

      Because this company is growing so quickly it is experiencing some 'growing pains'. The Tyson's Corner area is also known for their traffic, so that could also be a negative, but Alarm.com is very metro accessible which is a nice alternative.
