Alarm.com is a special place to work. The entire organization works hard to select the right people, and the result is a positive culture with fantastic coworkers who end up being great friends. Since the company is so small, even younger employees like myself are given a large amount of responsibility and ownership right out of the gates. This is at the same time challenging and refreshing. I recently left Alarm.com to pursue an MBA at a top business school. My managers were incredibly supportive in helping me apply to business school and pursue other career goals. Since diving into the to Bay Area tech ecosystem over the last few months, I can confidently say that the culture, people, and work being done at Alarm.com stacks up favorably with even the best companies on the west coast.
