      Pros

      Some good people who work there. Aviation is an interesting industry.

      Cons

      Virgin America has been difficult to swallow. Pressure has been put on profits over all else to fix the financials. Watch for job cuts in corporate and ever increasing workloads. Lots of people starting to be let go.

      Pros

      This is a fabulous job if you enjoy a flexible schedule, working closely with people and can maintain a positive attitude even when tired and stressed. You will be very well trained and ready to handle the job once you complete all the training requirements. The benefits are wonderful with insurance and lifetime passes. Loved this job for 30 years!

      Cons

      The things that make this a great job are also the same things that make this a challenging job! Flexible schedule= irregular hours for working, sleeping and eating. Working with the public- we all know what that can be like. This is the only job I can think of where, with any luck, you will never use 90% of your training!

      The tyranny of the executive staff should not be allowed. Most employees seemed unhappy.

      Sometimes the travel perks are nice and parking at Corp HQ is free

      Cons

      Opportunities for advancement almost don’t exist. Upper management treat their staff like lower class citizens. Pay is lower than the area norm. If you go to HR for assistance they only side with management. They had a large scale lay-off late last year and it appeared they wanted to get rid of people who had been there a long time. And they gave very little notice just before Christmas. This is not a place to be proud of.
