Pros

Working in Alaska is beautiful. Some departments have very friendly and supportive management.

Cons

Low pay, long hours. Housing is 15 miles from workplace and you rely on employee shuttle. Employee food is institutional grade. People are hired to work six 8-hour days a week but the company ends many contracts early so the remaining staff is forced to work twice as hard at 12-hour days six days a week. Princess Hotel manager shows no empathy or caring whatsoever for employee's well-being. The end of season bonus and cruise benefit is held over people's heads to make them afraid to quit an abusive situation,
