      Horrible leadership

      Pros

      I have to say there are none.

      Cons

      There is NO leadership. They fire great top managers only to improve their bottom line for investors. The work load is then all passed down and everyone is spread thin. They implemented SAP when it was not ready and the system has all kinds of mistakes. Everyone is then told to help fix all the problems adding to everyone's already over worked work load.

      Pros

      Coworkers are some of the most amazing, talented people in the industry. 3 years ago this was a great place to work.

      Cons

      Lab leadership needs a complete overhaul from the top down. There is no more appreciation and they have lost the vision. You will work 70 hours a week and do the job of 3 people, only to maybe receive a 5% raise once every few years when promotions roll around. It will cost you your time with your family and your sanity. If you try to transfer within the company, you will be grossly underpaid market wage because “the lab is always paid low.”

      Pros

      The work is rewarding itself. It’s always fun to learn new techniques and be constantly challenged. Some of the management are very understanding and encouraging despite company flaws.

      Cons

      Pay is abysmal for the local cost of living, especially with virtually no work-life balance. Promotions are unbalanced with rampant favoritism. Toxic competition causes coworkers to stab each other in the back. There are constant changes to procedures and software that are useless and do nothing but hinder efficiency and promote mistakes. Constantly short-staffed due to unsurprisingly high turnover rate.
