Outstanding place if a person wants to get experience in the Biotech industry.

Cons

Complicated organizational culture ran by Millennials with plenty of management by e-mail.

We're shooting to have your first sentence be simply "Outstanding place!". Regarding the culture, like may companies we have 4 generations of people working at Aldevron from Boomers to Millennials. Regardless of generation, people have their unique communication styles and preferences. I like your comment about management by email because it is a reminder that we must evaluate the effectiveness of our communications and use multiple approaches to ensure everybody is tuned-in and hearing the messages. Thanks.

Pros

Excellent Benefits. Always work to do. Decent pay. Flexible with scheduling. Growing company. Lots of opportunity for overtime.

Cons

Slow/disorganized training Very cliquey Some procedures aren't spelled out in SOP's, hard to find information needed. "Trainers" not very experienced in training, poor instruction Messy/confusing computer systems galore, hard to keep track of everything Inconsistent hours, some days are 6 hours, others are 16. Hard to plan life when you're waiting for bacteria to grow (hopefully getting fixed soon with the addition of a second shift to finish daytime projects).

Thank you for the balanced feedback and suggestions. We are working to get more predictable in our processes, scheduling, etc. We are currently recruiting for second shift positions which will help. The training and onboarding is a big focus in 2019. We've made some recent changes to the new employee experience that have been very well received but there is more work to do. Thank you again for the review!

Pros

Chance of earning a few bucks more through overtime

Cons

Everything: horrible work load, QC analyst position is like a 'hiring-firing', the interview doesn't have to be in place to hire someone for the position, anyone with a associate/12 th grade can do the job, so apply if you like to earn and learn what happens in small firm, if you have a bachelors, you can earn very little more per hour, long hour working, can't go out of town for a whole week because you will be watching freezer alarm for the facility (is that a violation of labor law?), don't think to go forward in the ladder (promotion)

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and advice. We appreciate hearing from current employees and want to foster a transparent culture where concerns can be brought forward. We continue to learn as we grow and become more complex, and unfortunately we are not resistant to growing pains. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to talk in person about your concerns. ~Samantha, HR
