Dear Alephian,
Thank you for leaving your feedback on Glassdoor.
We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your employment with us as much as we would like you to. The happiness team has always strived to make your experience better and your feedback will definitely be taken into consideration. Nonetheless, we would like to highlight the following points to address some of your concerns.
Aleph practices a system of having an annual review for all employees where you will be accessed on your work performance for the year with feedback from your managers as well as the happiness team. This also serves as a good opportunity for you to ask any questions in relation to your career progression if you are confused. Besides that, the happiness team is always ready to hear you out anytime. We are just a text or a call away to schedule an appointment. You may simply do so after reading this reply from us. If you feel that this is insufficient, you may also draft a formal email to the team's email to arrange a formal feedback session. You may read up on this in 2019's handbook.
At Aleph, everybody is hired based on their skills and knowledge in the work we do. Practicing equal employment opportunity is one of our key hiring policy. We do not regard gender, race nor religion during the hiring process. Across the region, there are at least 15 nationalities within the organisation and we do not intend to stop at this number. Diversity is very much appreciated here.
Due to the nature of our business, working over the weekends is highly unavoidable due to delivery schedules. We do provide off-in-lieu for Alephians who had worked over the weekend and/or public holidays. You may email the happiness team if you are unsure how to add these leaves to the leave application system. Nevertheless, do note that we do not encourage working overtime unless there are any emergency situations. We cherish family/personal time as much as you do. Speak to your managers if you have any difficulty in managing your time at work. We are sure they are more than happy to help you out to meet the work-life balance you are looking for. The mentors in the organisation are always available for you for a catch up over coffee regardless of the number of things they have on their plates. People are our top priority and should never be overlooked.
Since you are working with us for over 2 years, we would like to believe that you have attended flocket, frolic and other company events in place for you. As you mentioned, most of us are stationed at the client's side, resulting in a lack of interaction between Alephians. There is a reason why a lot of thoughts have been put into planning all the above-mentioned events and the high frequency of the occurrence; 4 to 5 times a month. We would love to create more bridges to build connection within the organisation and are working towards bigger events to allow inter-region interaction. CreaTech is the start and we are definitely working towards more opportunities to grow together. If you have any kind of new suggestions or feedback on the initiatives in place, you are more than welcome to share with us. We would like to grow as an organisation as well.
Speaking of growth, we would also like to share that Aleph has always been keen to provide training to all employees regardless of the department and their position within the organisation. Should you like to request for any forms of training, feel free to reach out to the happiness team and we are more than happy to see how we can help you (and maybe your fellow Alephian) grow.
Thank you and we look forward to you reaching out to us.
