Pay is generally 10%-20% lower than market average. I never got the impression they knew why I was hired, or what I was supposed to do. There was zero planning for my arrival, no training, and no one on any team seemed to understand what I was hired to do. When I presented ideas, or wanted to discuss concerns I was usually dismissed, ignored, or rejected out of hand. Even worse, the office seemed to be a constant game of musical chairs, as people bounced from department to department in the name of reorganization. There is a huge amount of turnover for a company their size -- they turned over a quarter of their workforce in the year I was there. After a year of being unable to make any real progress towards my goals or the team's goals, I decided to cut my losses and go somewhere I could get the support I needed, the freedom to contribute in a meaningful way, and ultimately grow my career.
