I’ve been a contractor for 15+ years and like most government contractors, have bounced around from company to company chasing contracts. In my experience, I know the difficulties companies have to try and make employment feel like it means something, as in, I’m not just another contractor. Like anyone else, I did my due diligence before accepting my offer and heard the good and bad (mostly good) while also acknowledging the fact that companies cannot make everyone happy. With that said, AST stands out as one of the leading companies I have worked for because my impression so far is that they have make extreme efforts to make me, and their employees, feel valued. I support AST and what they are trying to do and am ready to ride this out as long as I can.
