Pros

Provide a job with a steady paycheck. Hourly, so limited to 40 hours per week.

Cons

No benefits, no vacation, no feedback and thus no raises. They say you get one week per year of vacation, but if the company you're contracted to has time off (like the time between Christmas and New Years) then you are not allowed to work and no paid. So you get furloughed every year, thus eating up your single measly week of vacation. They have a health plan but its basically the bronze ACA plan: high deductibles and very limited care.

Pros

It's a great place to start a career. The internal projects were interesting and exciting when they lasted. The people were great. The benefits and bonuses were also great.

Cons

If you plan to understand the industry, staying longer at the company arms your technical abilities. The technology was customized to their flavor so ERP and CRM applications were basically customized. The other downside is that the salary ranges varied disparagingly so if you attempted to look for another job the outside salaries were much lower than Allegis. Reviews were very subjective and not much thought really went into them. Employees were allowed to write their own reviews so if they had it good with a manager, s/he basically used whatever you gave them. Upper management were all friends-of-friends so its was difficult to get promoted into that upper echelon. Some employees who worked hard but did not work the long hours were not recognized for "face time" which was unfair. Great company if you own stock but the stock options were not available to every employee as again it was subjective as to who got stock based on likeness and not necessarily on performance.

Pros

You are paid every week.

Cons

Outsiders hired who resist adopting the Allegis culture, preferring to replicate their previous environments. Toxic behaviors, including gaslighting and dishonesty. Leadership fails to defend employees, even when they are at fault. Unrealistic deadlines lead to prolonged overwork (18+ months and continuing). Senior leadership is biased and punishes differing opinions. Diversity of thought is not rewarded. I could go on and on, trust me, this is not a good place to work anymore unless you are living in your car on the street, even then I'd consider finding a job elsewhere. This is not fake news, proceed with extreme caution, you have been warned.
