Overall Alliant is a good place to work

Pros

work-Life balance. It used to be much better. There are some very good people that work there.

Cons

not very much ability to move up in company. Most engineers stay there for a long time. Pay is not competitive with other markets. Management is definitely a click and movement into management is not very likely.

Pros

Lots of interesting projects. Very Good People at the staff level.

Cons

Mid-Level Management does little to nothing to develop staff. My immediate boss was actively resentful of my attempts to improve my skills. There is no loyalty from senior staff to lower level employees after the flood. I was "invaluable" to senior staff 3 days before my layoff.
