Pros

Broad range of personalities and backgrounds. Professional setting and very nice office. High standards, will garner excellent experience.

Cons

Out of control office politics, gossip, attitudes, and from senior-level staff and brokers. Cold, "watch-your-back" vibe throughout office. Brokers are extremely demanding. Lots of God complexes.

Pros

The benefit package is pretty good (except for medical plan and contribution). Stocked kitchen. Close to bart.

Cons

Nobody knows what they are doing due to the high turnover. Everyone is in CYA mode. The office is completely segregated into small clicks. Think of a team atmosphere, Alliant is the exact opposite.

Pros

There is an option to work hybrid and/or fully remote depending on what team you're on.

Cons

This company has absolutely atrocious benefits! Terrible medical insurance and dental, with abysmal additional provisions. The maternity leave is THREE weeks! How can you claim to obtain the most market competitive benefits when you can't even provide them yourself? Moreover, I have had the absolute worst work-life balance working here. I'm working from 6-7 in the morning to 8-9 at night at least 3-5 times a week. If you're lower on the rung, your pay is really not that much better than any other brokerage firm. I have nightmares and have gone on anxiety medication from working at this company. There's also a complete and utter lack of professional boundaries. I've had members of this company ask me wildly inappropriate questions related to my sexual orientation and racial identity, and have endured sexual harassment from multiple employees. Additionally, the "flat organizational method" which they claim to be the secret to their success, is just really a way for them to take advantage of you and make you work the jobs of 3-4 people but get paid one salary.
