Pros

Decent pay and the ability to work from home (Depending on what department you are in).

Cons

Very difficult for any new hires to learn the products they will be supporting as there is zero training. You are basically fed to the wolves. Too much internal fighting between departments. Since no one is trained properly, many employees generally have no idea how to resolve client issues. This ends up with employees moving client issues from one department to another and another, in hopes that eventually someone will resolve the issue (Close your eyes and throw a dart at a dartboard method). Meanwhile the client suffers with extended downtime of issues and various departments pointing at each other and no one takes ownership of investigating and resolving the clients issues. Outsourcing to Pune, India is another issue. Many clients request US analysts to resolve their issues with Allscripts products most often due to the lack of initiative or knowledge that many of the overseas employees exhibit. The work ethic for our overseas brethren is extremely dismal. Most of the India analysts tend to have US analysts do their work for them and then take credit for it. This puts a lot of stress on US analysts and increases their workload. Management hasn't done anything to rectify the issues from numerous complains from internal Allscripts employees as well as clients. Recent changes with afterhours support has the employees shaken up and has decreased morale dramatically. Management is starting to have employees work afterhours for critical issues without pay.

Pros

Salary was high to supplement the poor work you have to do.

Cons

A much divided company. There are multiple divisions and these divisions act like separate companies. They won't hire within so don't look to transfer to a different department. Your manager is your worst enemy....Completely stressful, lazy staff, and you have to obviously pull teeth to get them to do something. What a waste...Management sucks completely.

Pros

They are flexible in terms of where you work, and the healthcare benefits are probably the best I've ever seen.

Cons

No bonus potential for most employees. Also the internal processes of the company are very poor. The company has grown via acquisition, so there are two answers for any question you ask...there's no one version of the truth. There also doesn't seem to be a willingness by management to fix this issue
