Pros

I don't remember any at this moment

Cons

I am sad to see Allscripts is going through such a phase – Laying off employees from BU (support and other) . Recent casualty was Education services where they laid off 11 employees including Sr. Manager. I am very sad to see the conduct of HR team. I am still not able to understand if you don’t have vision how you going to sustain the model of hiring new resources then why you are hiring too much. They hired 3 new resource and within 1 year they laid off in the same BU . Management is clueless and I have seen 6 Associate HR manager operation in my tenure so you can imagine even the HR operation is not stable. There is insecurity and trust deficit and you can’t give your 100 % under such circumstances. Management is thinking resources those who are working going to forget all these and can enjoy. VP , Director , Sr Manager , Manager , Associate Manager resigned within span of 4 months and now they laid off Associates. They are laying off in all 3 locations so not even single location has been spared. I request Sr Management team if you are reading this post please resign from your position in solidarity with what’s going on because you don’t deserve to be in your position and then we all will eat ice cream as this is anecdote to relive tension . C & T you need to speed up the process of expediting the relieving letters which your team id doing more now rather than issuing appointment letters .

Pros

Interesting work, good co-workers, decent benefits

Cons

Unreasonable metrics, clueless management, terrible work/life balance, bullying. Managers at VP level and above are so focused on metrics for products they do not understand it is nearly impossible to b excited to go to work. When you know you are working hard, doing your best and working overtime for free but you still have no possible way of meeting your metrics it is depressing and exhausting. I have personally witnessed a VP bullying a manager over metrics going so far as to insinuate the the manager was mentally unstable and unfit for the position. HR does nothing to help employees in cases of management bullying since the HR reps are assigned to the same groups as the VP they are under which makes the impetus to defend the VP and ignore the poor, and often immoral behavior. Absolutely disgusted with the management interactions I've had.
