      Healthcare is a great place to be, just not at this company

      Pros

      Good benefits and co-workers, work flexibility

      Cons

      No transparency within departments - lack of communication within leaders to teams. A lot of good people have left - company does not give much incentive to stay other than having a job. Job security is questionable, especially with the large turnover that the company has. No work life and personal balance - there seems to be an expectation from management that you should be able to be reached at any time or day.

      Pros

      Decent salaries, some smart people remain who didn't jump ship with the recent layoffs (spun by the company as an aggregation of "centers of excellence" which is transparent corp-speak for layoff), WFH allowed. Worked alongside some awesome people and made a few life-long friends.

      Cons

      Middle and upper management are more concerned with their titles and cliques than with their reportees and software quality. Numerous recent "reorgs" have spiraled morale and loyalty into the dirt since nobody trusts the company anymore. Incredible amount of offshore outsourcing which may save money but definitely impacts quality. Definitely the worst quality software I've ever worked on -- would actively avoid hospitals running this software for fear of my own personal safety.
