Pros

Earlier ( wen I say "earlier" it means before the so called merger (Acquisition !!!) and Eclipsys was not a part of Allscripts, most of the employees wer happy due to good work life balance, work from homes, Performance Linked Incentive Plan ( PLIP) and many more employee oriented benefit programs & work culture. These were the Pros and now Cons you can find in the limited box below...

Cons

PLIP part is now being removed and not compensated in any way the CTC :-(. People have lost their money when Company did not perform well in the year 2012 ( no faults of employees of the teams who did well & generated revenue in millions for the company)

Pros

Despite some of the cons, allscripts still is a pretty good place to work. They really work with there employees to try to develop them. Everyone has a voice. They are family orientated and have a respectable concept of flex time. Pretty good benefits. Most every one is easy to get along with and respectable.

Cons

Very political - largely because everyone gets a voice. Rapidly changing culture. Annual reorganizations. Distant management. Sometimes the restructures mean that you "loose" a position on a product team. But.. the company does take the time to help you find another internal position.

Pros

Invaluable experience over a 10 year career period. HR benefits are good but not great. Ability to create client relationships was positive.

Cons

Very poor management that does not treat all employees on a similar and fair playing level. Management does not want to invest in employees and tuition reimbursement as a benefit is a joke. They won't even let you use it. Environment fostered does not support positive employee morale. After 10 years of employment, tenure was not recognized at all by anyone. Not even in paper form or an email. Client focus and needs are not #1. Compensation is not consistent across the board for
