Pros

Allstate is a company that cares. The people are wonderful to work with, the roles are challenging and rewarding, and there is a fantastic work/life balance. You are encouraged to work from home when needed, participate in both internal and external extra-curricular activities and I truly feel that my wellbeing is a priority for my immediate manager and leadership. I have worked in 3 different roles at Allstate and cannot say enough good things about the company and its strategy!

Cons

Having shopped around a little in the marketplace, Allstate seems to pay less than competitors. I've been offered similar positions for up to $20,000 more a year. No bonus level until "E" band and above, which can be challenging to obtain when starting at a "D" band or lower.

Pros

1. Competitive Compensation 2. Ample Vacation Time 3. They finally fixed the ridiculous 401k match rules (they were conditional in the past on a vague internally created index that noone could influence or understand)

Cons

1. Beyond "Cliquey" - Long term employees have their networks built internally and new employees / outsiders are not invited 2. Technology is so far behind the times its a complete joke - party like its 1995!

Pros

Great PTO -- PTO is usually awarded based on your industry experience not just your amount of time with Allstate. Despite rising healthcare costs, healthcare benefits are reasonable.

Cons

There seems to be an oversight of talent and sometimes employees are rewarded for completing mediocre tasks that are already a part of their job.
