Excellent leaders who actually care about you as a person. if your struggling in an area they look at it as an opportunity for improvement and help you with it which was a drastic difference from when I worked for Kroger where anything you were struggling with was looked as it was your problem fix it now. I love the support here and the pay is great.

Cons

the only con I have is sitting on my butt all day, but I get up often and move around the 5 feet my cord will allow me and on breaks and lunch I walk. The thing is EVERY job has its pros and cons. I have been in the work force for corporations for several years and dealt with the corporate crap of im corporate your a peon , THEY DO NOT DO THIS at allstate and I love that.

Pros

Good benefits. Pension AND 401(k) plan. Matching amount on 401(k) used to be much better in years past, but at least they match somewhat now. Onsite medical and pharmacy.

Cons

Owned by Wall Street. Many unwise business decisions from the top down, knee-jerk reactions to save a buck or two to please investors that don't make sense in the long run. Very top-heavy salaries, and when cuts need to be made, they eliminate the meager worker bee salaries and the people who do a great deal of work to support the company, overworking the ones who were spared elimination.

A lot of great people in the Claims department - it's great to be part of the Allstate "family". Great opportunity for advancement. Company promotes cross discipline learning.

Cons

Work load can be heavy at time but is the nature of claims.
