Pros

good pay. good flexibility. WFH. lunches provided.

Cons

Technical decisions are poor and often wrong. e.x. kafka. logging done in mobile app and not backend. rest api isnt rest. CEO is a micro manager who pats himself on the back. Dev management does not understand or follow agile, they are actually doing waterfall. Dev management does not understand how to manage or motivate the team. Doesn't seem to ever care. Blames engineers when something goes wrong, take credit when it goes good. Dev and Data management both dept have gotten rid of or forced out their best engineers.

Pros

401k, PTO, benefits, that's it.

Cons

Toxic leadership, the organization seems to only care about the bottom line. Very outmoded styles of leadership including tactics of: micromanaging, intimidation, and "beat them down so they work harder" mentality...NE Region specific.

Pros

Flexibility, PTO. Good learning opportunities and tools.

Cons

No career growth. Low pay. Hard to get promotion and you can be stuck in a band for like forever. Poorly trained managers. So many disgruntled coworkers creating a toxic work environment and High attrition rate. Have not seen “good” people stick around for long. There are so many companies out there with a positive work culture and better pay/opportunities than here and you will realize it after you leave. Management tries to shrug issues under the carpet and pretend everything is normal as long as they can instead of dealing with it head on( which is their job). No technical growth ladder.
