Pros

Free Lunch Diversity If utilized correctly you can run with this experience and pivot into something better

Cons

This is long overdue.. but this may have been one of the worst professional experiences I have had in my career, and a lot of former employees feel the same. Aloha(formerly Review Wave) uses manipulation tactics on early professionals knowing that their opportunities in the job market are still limited due to experience. Leaders here are notorious for lying, going behind your back, misleading their teams, and creating a cancer culture. If you are a somewhat decent person avoid this cancer of a company. If you are an early professional fresh out of college there are better opportunities for you out there. There is a reason why they are mainly hiring young people… What was once a company that was filled with people who were eager to follow behind the CEO and his purpose turned into a wannabe corporate environment of inexperienced leaders who play very dirty. They don’t understand they are responsible for shaping people’s career and how they navigate these office spaces. But of course they don’t see it that way because they are only concerned with moving up in their careers. Once again ask yourself before applying, why are they only hiring early young professionals? Avoid at all costs! Don’t let the re-brand fool you, don’t let the inc 5000 fool you, don’t let the celebrities fool you, it’s the same people still in place creating a decaying beast that is going to succumb any day now. Everything that glitters isn’t gold!

Aloha Response

Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. I'm sorry to hear that your experience at Aloha felt disappointing. We do not tolerate dishonesty, retaliation, or “win at all costs” behaviors. That does not reflect our core values, which we practice daily. A few points of clarification: we hire across a range of experience levels based on role needs, and we aim to support early-career team members with clear expectations, training, and mentorship—not “manipulation.” We place a great deal of emphasis on continuing to invest in manager and team member development, clear communication standards, and strong but respectful feedback channels so concerns can be raised and addressed quickly and professionally. We’d value any specific examples you’re willing to share so we can review and take action where needed. Please reach out to me directly at katelyn.hoffman@getaloha.com. We appreciate your contributions and wish you the best in your career. - Katelyn Hoffman, HR Manager
