Pros

It's easy to get hired on quickly. It's an office setting and some people are truly nice. They will want someone who will stay.

Cons

The pay. The fact that I am responsible for sourcing. You need to have 60 calls a day and 20 Interviews scheduled daily. They don't want you to be on the phone all day but you will get to help with 2nd Pass, offer letter and walking candidates out. However, the main goal is the 60/20. Do that and they are fine.

Pros

Good team work. Great technical environment. Center is a place for growth as a stepping stone to better opportunities elsewhere.

Cons

Pay rate is too low. Not too many honest staff members from operations and human resource department.

Pros

Working from the comfort of your own home. That is literally all. 1 star is over-rating it.

Cons

Training consists entirely of slide show presentations followed by a test of each segment. You will only ever see screenshots of what the system looks like but never get an opportunity to use it until you are going "live" with your first phone call. Some of the segments will be so small that you cannot read them clearly. This will have nothing to do with your computer, it is in their program. Many features are never covered but if you are curious you will find them as you dig around for substance - such as the chat room called Leverage where you can set up a profile to talk to others. Your first live phone call will be a test, meaning it will be someone from the company pretending to be a customer but it's a dead giveaway because they are also reading from a script & use phonetics when giving their name & address. You are directed to call a PAL if you need help but I was less than impressed by their lack of professionalism. I would suggest writing this # somewhere handy because once you find it, you might not find it again. Sometimes parts of the system are not available - for instance the FAQ page is currently broken & the estimated fix time is early next month. This is a page that newbies need often, sorry for the luck. My first 2 "live" calls both cut out during a system freeze & could not be completed. Again, not the fault of my computer but a company program defect. You choose your hours in which you are prepared & plugged in ready to roll but keep in mind you will only be paid for talk time...so if that phone never rings, you aren't earning money. Training earns minimum wage but taking calls is 15 cents a minute. Taking too long to process a call will reflect negatively on you. Although employees answering HSN calls seem pleased, you must first make it thru the swamp of DIR which is answering calls for infomericals. Upsells are scripted & required. You will earn a few $$, not much - about a $100 or less per payday - because REMEMBER: its not the hours you are logged in but the minutes you have a real customer on the line.
