Pros
As a young professional, AltaMed is an exciting first, second or third job. It is undoubtedly a leader in community health and has a TON of initiatives and passionate, mission-driven folks across the board in literally anything you can imagine - research, advocacy, community-based work, whatever. You can find your place in community health here.
Cons
Wide lack of awareness and understanding of policies and systems. Not very cohesive as an organization and at the front lines, programs and policies that are great on paper are not practiced or implemented to some extent. It feels like the organization is biting off more than it can chew.
