Not a good place to work

Pros

Supports work from home for most jobs

Cons

- Not truthful - Not organized; can take weeks to obtain requested guidance and only after several repeated attempts to communicate - Does not understand the marketplace for the products they acquired from Allscripts; they seem to have a mindset that certain mandatory or federal requirements for EHRs are not important, not understanding that clients rely on their EHRs meeting these mandates

Good place - but know their business model before you join

Pros

Solid profitable parent company that takes mature businesses and make them more profitable by driving efficiencies. Very strong "Core Values" that drive their business = transparency and predictability

Cons

Very strong "Core Values" that drive their business = feels a bit 'cult-ish'. There seems to be more focus after acquisition on culture than the business itself. I would hazard a guess that "living the values" is more critical for advancement that actual business acumen or technical competence. Drive for efficiency seems to also be a drive to devalue (potentially eliminate) infrastructure items. Focus on each product as a Core Business is healthy - just don't neglect infrastructure and risk reduction in quality, security, and safety. I assume (but hope to be proven wrong) that "drive for efficiency" will also mean little to no salary increases beyond meager cost-of-living baselines.
