Pros

AmTrust is a fast growing company that fosters collaboration and professional development. All of the managers and executives I have worked with have been helpful and they do not micromanage their employees. AmTrust has a wonderful work-life balance and the company culture as an entrepreneurial spirit that is infectious. If you want to work for a young, fast-growing company that will give you pathways to success, I would highly recommend.

Cons

I think there needs to be a clear, company-wide organizational chart.

Pros

Management is flexible, I've never had an issue when I needed a day or two off. Co-workers are great. Excellent spot to park and gain some experience, everyone is always willing to lend a hand or some perspective on how something can be done better.

Cons

No upward movement... ever. Unless you're on the "Hot" product of the time, you will never see a promotion, focus is always geared towards new aquisitions and anyone working on the software for those new shiny companies will be the ones to reap the rewards. Pay is never re-evaluated to see if the minimum cap needs to be raised to bring seasoned employees on par in pay to new hires. Pay is right around 35% below the regional average,

Pros

Co- workers become friends bound by a mutual desire to keep each other sane. Working here makes your weekends truly heavenly.

Cons

No communication, organization, or cohesiveness between departments. Management style is to insult first, ask questions later. Too many acquisitions have greatly sacrificed quality, morale, leadership and your will to live. The company is an H. R. nightmare if you dare object to being ridiculed and threatened in order to keep your job. The constant increase in work volume sets you up for failure and fear. Then when you finally quit they act shocked and want to know why on earth you would leave. Upper management is either in denial or simply does not care whether they are respected as long as the money keeps rolling in.
