      Pros

      Everyone at AmTrust is pretending to work. At any given time half of the company will not be contributing to anything. Another quarter of the employees will be actively performing tasks incorrectly, which ends up being measurably worse than doing nothing at all.

      Cons

      The employees. Practically every single person that works at AmTrust is dumb. Every single task is handled by a few dozen of the company's best employees. Also, the information security is atrocious. Literally any developer can look up all employee and customer information. If you work at AmTrust, developers can lookup your information (passwords, credit cards, SSNs). If you have done business with Amtrust, developers can lookup your information (passwords, credit cards, SSNs).

      AmTrust is a dynamic company with a lot of smart people. Management is smart and hard working, The company has been one of the fastest growing insurers in the country.

      Cons

      Too cheap with benefits. The growth was so quick that customer service and claims lagged behind, Way too focused on M&A.
