- Working out of a coworking space. Deadline keeps getting pushed back and its beginning to be frustrating. It's so cramped, and no space to hide from awkward interactions with those you aren't very fond of.
-As a small office, keeping a positive culture is important. One of my managers is INCREDIBLY disorganized, unprofessional, not confident, and condescending, This recently caused the office to rearrange teams under different managers due to conflict on our team. It's hard to know who your actual manager is or who is temporarily your supervisor.
-Nobody really knows what's going on in entirety. Everyone is less than 3 months on the job at AmTrust because we are a new office. This causes disorganization.
-Expected to front the cost of all meals and transportation in SLC, with unclear deadlines around when that would be expensed back. Was almost 1k while I was there. Been nearly a month and still haven't received. I'm not comfortable providing an interest free loan to a multi-million dollar company.
-Our managers are unsure or unclear on what the associate program raise is supposed to be. On our interviews, we were told 5-10%. But our VP and manager said it is a 15% raise in our first week. Imagine how disappointed we will all be when we find out we all are only getting 5% when pay review time comes. We are already paid a lot less than the industry average as our starting wage and if I don't receive closer to 10% I would consider different avenues.
- teams chat monitoring. For a job that only gives you 1 day a week hybrid, it shouldn't be apart of the culture to watch if someone's light on teams is green, or orange. A big part of working from home is having flexibility. Our managers don't really seem that busy if they're able to monitor who is active on teams to the extent, they just send messages to check if you're by your computer. Frustrating. I truly believe I would be more productive if we had 2 days a week to work hybrid. This is an industry standard and being forced to come to an office that is extremely cramped to do work 4 days a week is not beneficial or helpful. This needs to change. Many employees are leaving and already expressing on here that the RTO mandate makes no sense.
