A private organization that genuinely takes pride in putting their customers first! Throughout my tenures from fortune 100 companies to private organizations that were also consumer centric, this organization truly goes above and beyond in providing their guests an exceptional experience. Inherently you feel that as an employee here and take pride in your work as an ambassador of the brand. The owners and partners truly care about the organization and continuously have detailed involvement in serving extraordinary and luxurious adventures. Yes, I am a real reviewer and I bring this up because all of this trickles down to us as employees The owners, Rudi and Kristin, are consistently here greeting all employees and humble in thanking them for their contribution! And yes we do work hard! Some more than others, but this company has a great purpose and with luck; depending on what department you are in (as with any other company,) you may have great leadership that empowers you to learn and grow. Loyalty is highly regarded in this organization as you will encounter many employees that have been working here for over a decade and that says a lot! Once a month, the company gets free lunches as birthday celebrations. And to top it off, as an employee you and your partner get a free 7 night European river cruise (minus airfare for your guest.) The company still has a small and privately owned feel, however it is also rapidly investing in new employees and enhancing their technological departments, reservation systems and marketing strategies which also exemplify the growth outlook. It is also scaling and literally outgrowing their current location which in a few months will relocate to the Calabasas plaza, thus a great sign of success and stability, not to mention the current parking situation sucks! Most of the employees here are generally friendly and supportive in working towards the same department / company goal. The morale and company culture is very inviting and welcoming. Employees are encouraged to join pot lucks, holiday events and contests. Other perks (like any other company) include free onsite gym, 401k matching up to 4%, full health and dental coverage, and annual bonuses.
Cons
There can be times of heavy workloads and hectic deadlines, but this is like any other organization. My advice, don’t get caught up in the petty office politics (which is in every company.) Just be a friendly, approachable and resourceful colleague – by that, you will be able to excel at any workplace! I am not an executive nor a ‘paid’ reviewer, just an ordinary employee having seen enough in these competitive corporations and some hostile work environments whereas, feel the truth should be voiced. I have left a 1 star company review on this platform before and now a 5. Happy and thankful to work here and hope to continue with more employee incentives being granted as the company succeeds and continues to grow. In small or privately held orgs, it is significant for everyone to be recognized for their best efforts and contribution to the company’s success.
