Pros
-good pay -co-workers really care about patients well-being -local management good -home health allows independence whereas working in other settings does not -able to spend more individualized time with patients in home health setting vs other settings
Cons
-401K match has greatly reduced -benefits expensive -corporate pushes programs and evaluations that obviously have never been reviewed by that particular discipline -cannot read prior notes on own documentation -are told each year that it will "take about 2 years" to have new programs up and running -have added additional patients to each disciplines' caseload with no consideration for time spent with a patient, travel distance, or low staffing -documentation is stressed, yet formatted programs that employees must use are redundant, inaccurate and goals simply do not make sense -often not enough staffing -inconsistency with all paperwork and protocols; almost monthly changes -for a "paperless company" too many forms- type more than have time to treat patient or else you work at least 2+ extra hours at home -compensation to complete time-consuming OASIS is inadequate- other home care agencies do not require so many additional forms -reimbursement for mileage does not meet government reimbursement
