      Pros

      The pay and benefits are very competitive, and Amedisys is a large, but young company that isn't stuffy and arrogant. It's nice to be part of something good, making a positive difference in people's lives.

      Cons

      Amedisys has grown very quickly, and it's good they're taking a moment to "digest" all the acquisitions. Orientation and especially IT support are pretty poor. Orientation is actually pretty lengthy and developed, but it's designed for corporate to being able to protect itself, not as much to actually orient employees. Seems like IT focuses on its development work, and desktop support is kind of the neglected stepchild.

      The patients are wonderful, kind-hearted, everything one becomes a nurse to enjoy.

      Cons

      The lack of respect for the people making the money for the company is incredible. I feel exploited.
