Pros
Excellent pay, good benefits package including PTO, many positions available all over the US, flexible hours and schedule, reasonable patient caseload
Cons
The main issue I have with Amedisys is the frequency of policy and procedure changes. I understand why they try to implement new programs like clinical tracks and balance for life, but it seems like every week there is something additional for the clinician to do. Their move to electronic consent forms has added extra work since our office now insists that we have paper and electronic consent forms signed. Whenever Amedisys adds a new piece to the documentation required of the clinicians, it takes time away from direct patient care.
