Pros

Paycheck, oh stock prices are good ....no car stipend, our bonus cut, no flexibility.

Cons

I know in the pros you should list pros but really are there? Our bonuses were cut during Covid even though we showed up everyday while everyone else above us stayed home in the comfort and safety of their residence. We were told we were just lucky to have a job, we were told that it was was a hard year, but the financials don’t reflect that. Senior Leadership took there bonuses. 2020 was a better year than 2019 financially. We have no flexibility, nobody is applying for these positions, we work around the clock with little to no support. We make less than the people we manage, our health insurance and retirement is worse than the people we manage. What incentive do we have? The more you do the more they give you. Supervision is leaving at a record pace!

Thank you for sharing feedback regarding your experience and perspectives. At Ameren, we're proud to provide fulfilling, stable jobs inclusive of competitive compensation and benefits within our communities. As you mentioned, there were some impacts to the business due to the pandemic, and these decisions were not taken lightly, but our approach was based on overall safety performance, the hardships faced by so many in our communities today and the unpredictability caused by the pandemic. Throughout 2020, we continued to hire and took many actions to keep our co-workers safe, including added benefits, programs and resources to assist co-workers and their families with the challenges faced related to COVID-19. During the pandemic, we've relied on a blend of schedules, work arrangements, and flexibility to ensure we continued to safely provide energy and power to our customers. We care about creating a positive co-worker experience and environment where co-worker concerns are heard and addressed promptly and appropriately. We welcome feedback as part of our environment and culture. As a former co-worker, we value your perspective, appreciate your comments and would have liked to have had the opportunity to address some of your concerns during your time at Ameren. We're dedicated to addressing concerns in a confidential manner and works to identify solutions that align with our corporate values.

Pros

Great benefits if you started in 2015 or earlier. Pension and 401K...

Cons

A diversity up your butt philosophy. Little reward for the real performers. They will keep you right where they need you for years on end. Management is not technical at all. Lots of politics. If you want to get ahead then pal around with management. If you are competent they will keep piling other's work on you while the incompetent are never held to task.

Pros

Good benefits (pension, 401k, medical, dental, vision)

Cons

They promote some terrible people leaders who micromanage and create inefficiencies within the teams they lead and across the organization. They told us we would be able to work remote permanently and now they are requiring us to come in 3 days a week. Some people changed their lives because of this, and now are told "too bad." Hundreds of co-workers will have to find new jobs because we cannot find childcare or handle the commute. They have shady practices for promotions. There is a lot of nepotism when it comes to promotions and recognition. Some of the DE&I videos we are forced to watch seem disingenuous and promote division.
