Pros

American Eagle is one of the Few Airlines that is still hiring at this time while most other airlines are Furloughing Employees. American Eagle seems to continue to Grow .

Cons

You can put in very long hours during your time on duty with Maintence and weather delays which then turn into minimum rest overnights. The scheduled minimum res is 8hours but that is not behind the door of hotel. That is based on when you open the door and the brake is set. This can lead to actually only getting about 5 to 6 hours of actual sleep. \

Pros

Great Company with a proud heritage. Working at American Airlines has been great.

Cons

The airline industry does not offer security. Airline Employess are under constant threat of downsizing and losing their jobs. Post 911 the airline industry has been a real depressing place to be. Constant threat of job loss, and pay reductions keep people in the industry always guessing and worried.
