Pros

Benefits, 401k match, culture use to be great but not any more

Cons

All the “Founding Father” has been let go. Top leadership, VPs and sales reps have all been let go or leaving on their own bc the culture has changed. People with 25+ yrs. New leadership thinks sales people are shady. Amex use to care about their people and new leadership doesn’t. They tell you to call the hotline if you have a problem with change. No appreciation to the sales force Most processes and tools are broken Amex is behind on AP automation and other tools Stay away for at-least 90 more days while they are still firing leadership and sales rep. Not a stable environment and no work like balance. Sales people are being turned into robots, scripted emails, recording phone calls, 8 strike program where if u make 8’misstakes they take 8k out of your paycheck and 1k for every mistake after.

Pros

depending on who your leader is, you could either have a great experience at amex or a terrible one. there can be good perks to the job depending on what team you're on. benefits are great. there are definite opportunities to learn and grow, again, if you're aligned to a good leader.

Cons

The culture is not very inclusive and diversity is very much in quotes. it seems that they hire a certain "type" of person and if you don't fall in that type, you won't feel very welcomed.
